Hole 18 - Par 5 (Members), 531 Yards / Par 4 (Championship), 500 Yards

 

The home hole plays as a par 5 for the Members, but as a par 4 in Championship play.  Due to the relatively remote location of the property, the Members funded an airstrip for easy access in their private planes.  Ballyntyne Field, Runway 1 sits to the left and is O.B.  A driver can clear the bunker left with a favorable wind, but there is ample space right of the bunker to play safe.  If the player can conquer the demanding drive to a well-bunkered and narrowing fairway, a 200+ yard approach shot awaits to even have a putt at birdie.  The green is bunkered on the front, left, and right and slopes generally from back to front.  Some may leave with a sour taste, as this long hole gives Ballyntyne National one last chance to snag you.  A four is a great score here.  There is some fine scotch waiting for you in the clubhouse!  Thanks for playing!
